Longing

My oldest son was walking down the drive way to go wait for the bus. I noticed my little man head over to the door. He pulled himself up and sat and watched his brother and their faithful dog walk down to the road. I do believe that if the door had been open he would have crawled all the way down there just to be with his brother.

That is so cute. What a great photo.
Does your dog come back when the boy is gone on the bus? My bil has a dog that goes to the bus with the boys and then he will lay and wait for awhile, but then somehow he knows what time the bus is to drop him off at the end of the day so he heads back down the driveway to way again.

Sharon - our dog, Koda, will stay only until the bus door has closed and the bus starts to take off. Then he usually heads back at a dead run to check on the other boys. If my middle boy has walked down there too, they will usually meander their way back up, picking flowers or throwing rocks. Koda does not head back down to pick up our oldest until he sees the bus.
