Friday Photo Flashback

Friday Photo Flashback

Halloween 1974

old halloween 005

Here I am with my brother, Chris. He is 4 and I am 8 months.

You know what I liked about costumes back in the day, you made them. And you made them from whatever you could find. No trips to Walmart. Mom rummaged through her stuff then sat at a sewing machine.

Those were the easy times, weren't they!

Okay, is it me, or is your baby your MINI ME????

I love that picture, and yes, I know what you mean about the times when we made our costumes from whatever we had at home! I'm trying to convince my two younger sons to do it!!!

Wow those could be your boys. I almost thought it was a picture of your boys. Crazy how similar you both look to your boys. CUTE picture.

I thought it was little man sitting there at first.

My mom would go all out making a costume for her and dad. In our small town Halloween was a HUGE deal. They had a costume dance and you'd park 3 miles away so no one would see what vehicle you got out of. And at the end of the night they gave cash to the winner.

That one year my mom was an old man. She wouldn't leave my grandma (who wasn't dressed up) alone. She'd walk up and rub her area on gma and gma would holler get away from me you old nasty man (she'd say it in German) Then mom even had a fake Mr. Wiggly that she'd flash at Gma. Mom won that year. I wish I would have been old enough to see it.

I love that your Flashback Fridays take me down memory lane! This is one of my favorite all time photos for you and your big bro. And the resemblance between you and little man....uncanny!

This reminds me of the time I was a Fairy-Princess-Bride... or another time when I was clown-bum! No Disney Princesses at our house then! :)

In 75 (I think) you were a pumpkin - another cosutme made by your mother - and your were super cute. A green hat, green tights and a pumpkin middle. Really cute.

Oh the memories...
