Scared

I admit it, I'm scared. The wind tonight is the worst it has ever been here. We have reason to believe the wind has gusted to 90 mph or more here. We are thinking the sustained wind is in the 70's. Lineman went out to the garage and said the walls are moving at least 6 inches. A full grown man can barely stand or walk outside. The wind picked up my log swing and threw it against the house and broke it. We are having major roof issues. I don't know about the siding yet. The whole house is shaking. The floor is shaking. My computer monitor is shaking.

The power is flickering now. Hopefully we'll make it into the morning okay. What a way to bring in the new year.

Hope you're warm and safe this morning. Yes, the wind was awesome even here in town. I think it's giving you a royal send off. I don't remember this much wind this often for a long time but I'm not good at keeping track so I may be wrong. Regarding the send off - it would be nice if it waited til the house is sold and you're packed to go.

Sure glad hubby was home not that there`s much he could do to help but sharing the experience is always better than going it alone. Hope the damage wasn`t too costly Now Relax and enjoy the New Year`s Day! Love you cbinu

It is scary. We had the same type of weather here on New Years Eve. Although we weren't here to witness it. We were at a friend house and the next morning when we came home we started seeing highway signs down. We got to our exit and the neighbors huge barn was blown down. Luckily we and most of our other nieghbors only had minor roof damage.
