I am talking mostly about the little punk, not about myself. However, that said.... have you ever carried one of these infant backpacks on a hike. Wowsers.. talk about heavy. The little guy only weighs 17 pounds but it felt like 170 by the end of the hike. I felt like a pack mule - Hey now, be kind and considerate with your comments!
It was really great to get out for that first hike with him. I think he enjoyed himself.... that is, while he was awake!

Just discovered you through PW's site. I'm so envious of your flock of goldfinches. I usually have that many! This year they are at my neighbor's house across the street. I think it is because I had to move their feeding station cuz we painted the porch railing (the poop was out of control last year!)
