Friday Photo Flashback ~ Soccer

Friday Photo Flashback

Carin soccer 1

Here is something you probably know about me by now…. I love soccer.

I mean I really, really love it. I can't get enough of it. Seriously. It's that bad.

I started playing at age 5 and I would be playing today if there was a team for me! Soccer season just started here for the kids. My middle son will be playing but…*wiping tears*… my oldest son decided he didn’t want to play *bwaaa snort snort*. That’s okay..*snort*…I'll be okay. Really…. *blowing nose*…. I’ll just take it a day at a time and it will be fine. My middle son loves the game as much as I do so I’m thankful I’ll still get my soccer fix.

I think I’ll go juggle the ball now, thank you.

These Friday Flashbacks sure tug on your mama's heartstrings! It seems like only yesterday that I was tying those lovely "yarn" bows on to your ponytails. I think this photo is from your very first year. Even then while many of the little girls were looking for flowers on the field, you were gung ho and after the ball! So glad Colt the Bolt loves the game. I can't wait to see him play in just a couple of weeks.

I just love this! What a little doll you were (are) ;). I'm glad at least one of your boys shares the love for Soccer you have. Isn't it cool when you have something in common with your kids - besids the whole Mother/Child relationship!

I loved watching my son play soccer, but he decided he didn't want to play anymore either. :(
Love the pic. All your kids look like you, but the one that says oldest son looks exactly like you in the soccer pic.

What a great picture!! I remember when I was younger, it wasn't until I was in 6th grade that our church got a girls soccer team - before that it was softball and volleyball only. Then when it started, you could play EITHER soccer or volleyball but not both. We've come a long way baby! Love those yarn bows in your hair - the more colors the better, remember that!?? ♥

That is the cutest picture. I love soccer too. I totally enjoy watching my model play it. It is so awesome! I wish knew more about it though. I just know I enjoy watching it and I know the basics. Sure wish I could help her more. I am sure you know a bunch!

Carin your oldest looks just like you. The picture of him on your side bar with the cowboy hat. Put pigtails on him and it would be you. Very cute!!!

The way you feel about soccer is the way I feel about basketball. It doesn't bother me who's playing I'll watch. I'd love to still play but I'm too out of shape.

How cute you are! I love seeing pics of people as kids and being able to see their adult faces at the same time. I'm glad you get to enjoy playing soccer vicariously still through one kiddo!

CARIN! How cute are you!!!! Okay....that is a total trip because I can see your oldest sons resemblance to you now!!!!!!!!

Have you tried coaching their soccer team?? My husband has been coaching our sons team for 8 years now and he loves it!! That would be an awesome way for you to get your soccer fix!!

Awesome. this is the cutest photo! I remember loving soccer as a kid but our community was so big on baseball back in the 70s...no soccer was around. By the time AYSO got into town I was already in Junior high....I still love soccer too (and I have NO kids that play)...football around here...(tear)...

You know... you were almost as good at softball as your were at soccer. Maybe BigB just got the baseball gene rather than the soccer gene.

So you really have something you can share with both the boys. And don't forget, you've got one (or two) that you can raise in the soccer way, so don't loose heart.

That is awesome you are athletic! I have three boys, too, and you get so much more respect if you can kick a ball or shoot a basket (especially when they get older). You were a cutie!

Not much soccer lovin' goes on in our household. But you are so cute. I would watch the game too if all the kids were as cute as you just because of that. :)
