He did what?

Monday we still were recovering from a major snowstorm and blizzard that hit us. No out of town busses were running so that meant…… snow day!

We got together with some of our friends and hit our favorite sledding hill. I need to do a post just on this hill but for now let me tell you about my Little Man.January 567 He and I did several runs together and he will have to take care of me when I’m old and gray because hauling him back up that hill was no easy task. But as I looked at him I noticed he was looking drowsy. We we’re coming up the hill and he was completely slumped over himself.

January 569He fell asleep while we were SLEDDING! Good grief! He won’t take a nap anymore but he can fall asleep while sledding.

January 572 The other kids wanted the big sled so I moved him to this small sled and he never budged. Notice that hill… at one point he started to slide down it…..

Aaaaggghhhhh! Phew, I grabbed the sled before he took another ride down the hill. Not that that would have bothered him or woke him from his slumber.

January 576

After a bit it was time to get going. I pulled him in the sled to my suburban. He never woke. I put him in the suburban while still on the sled…

January 577

And he still never woke. So I took him home and put him to bed…….

January 578

And he still never woke……

January 581

I pulled off his hat, removed his gloves, zipped open his coat and his snow suit….

And he still never woke.

In fact, it’s the best nap he’s had in weeks.

I guess we’re going sledding for his next nap!

Oh Carin,
Your post sure made me smile! I can't believe he fell asleep while sledding. And I can't believe he won't nap for you!!!! I just love the shot of him lying in the back of the car. By the way I did love your shot of the woodpecker, but people who live in log houses do not usually see anything beautiful about woodpeckers. ;)

That is just great. That's how snow makes me feel, too... sleep, sleep, sleep.

I'd have been worried that he had hit his head and was knocked unconscious!

Loved your pics.

Thanks for the good laugh! How funny that he fell asleep while sledding. My two year old fell asleep one time while swimming at the YMCA sitting in his floater. Guess they aren't too big for naps yet.
