Grab your coat, hat and gloves. The ice is frozen and it’s about to get chilly in here. Hockey is in full swing and we are all loving it. Both older boys are on the same U-8 team and they had their first game Saturday. They play inter-squad games until we travel to other towns to compete. For the first game brothers were on opposite teams!
That is the oldest there in the front with the black jersey and white helmet. His little brother is bound to get to him, he’s in the red jersey with red helmet.
Uh oh, looks like the confrontation is on…..
Yup! I’m not sure it was the actual plan to take out his brother though.
Going solo, he did score twice too!
But, this wasn’t one of those times! Don’t worry, these guys have so much padding on that injuries are not too common. Yet.
Deja Vu or what? After talking to each of the boys after the game it was clear they were out to get the puck from each other.
This one absolutely cracks me up.
It’s an incredible fun sport, more fun than I had even anticipated.

Oh my gosh, I would be having a heart attack if my kids were playing! I would be sooooo excited and shaky the entire time...LOL!
Must be fun to have two of them out on the ice. I enjoy watching the younger ones play - they are so good on the ice.
I'm thinking about letting my son play hockey, but I guess he would need to learn to ice skate first! It might help a bit.
That looks like so much fun to be watching as a Mom. Great shots...the lighting in those arenas stinks and you rocked these pictures.

PS-Stacey-just put the padding on them and turn 'em loose! they'll figure it out--I tried numerous times to teach the boys how to skate and all I got was a sore back!!

Too much fun!!! I wish hockey was popular around here. We'd have to travel to Denver for the closest skating rink.
