Fall 2001
This was the very first hunting trip for our oldest son, he is 7 months old here. We were hunting up at Lineman's uncles farm. The same farm where he worked for the first years of our marriage. We always enjoy getting back there. The rifle in the pic was made the same year our oldest was born, so one day that rifle will be his. I guess you could say it's a birth gift.... Lineman just gets to break it in first!

That is such a great photo!!!
Carin...your boys are just so scrumptious!!!!!!
Great memory there Carin. It must be so fun to go for a hunting trip!
Don't be bored with my Flashback
A very young hunter in the making!
Check out how the Smokes gets in your lungs
Wow- I don't remember him being that small but what I really don't know is how did he get so big????? Good grief--he's a tank now!
I remember this trip though and I even remember which field it was taken in.
Lineman
"Break them in young my dad would say!"...not sure if he was referring to the kids or the guns. :-) Have a great weekend Carin!
If I didn't know that this was a flashback, I would have thought it was the lil guy today.
That will be a true memory for him and the whole family.
Thanks for sharing.
When I saw the title, I knew exactly the photo that was going to pop up. It is one of my favorites.
oh wow - I know Daddy had fun taking his little man out to "show him the ropes" early. ;) Very sweet photo! I have one kind of like this with David and Jacob - except instead of a field and a gun it was the ocean and surfboards. ;)
What a proud daddy!! Great picture. It's not wonder your boys love guns and hunting. lol
What a great picture. Love that the gun was made the same year. Very cool.
How sweet! Everyone told Mr. Loggerhead they hoped he bought a shotgun the day Bee was born! I'm sure someday she wouldn't mind boys as cute as yours comin' around!
Oh, he is so cute and the photo is great!
Great picture and memory!
our boys have presents that daddy is 'breaking in' for them too! hunting and father/son just fit so well together.
wow... they are cute, that was a great memory. It's fun to go hunting I guess.
Thanks for the visit, Carin. A blessed weekend.
What a lovely photo. I would love to go for a hunting trip one day. :)
How cool! I've always regretted it a bit that my hubby isn't a hunter--(I'm sure some "hunting widows" would roll their eyes at that) but it would have been nice when my boys got interested in guns to have a dad that did shooting with them. It's always hard in town especially to have enough things to occupy boys, it seems to me!
What a great memory. and what a special gift that will be for your son!
Cute picture!
