Forever In Blue Jeans

52 Weeks 45

The two oldest boys started Hockey this week. To say they were excited was an understatement. We have an awesome rink and hockey program here. The parents are completely involved and great people. This is our first year and I am totally excited for it! This picture is after their second hockey practice, after a quick bite to eat on the run, after a stop at the grocery store, after the drive home. This could be the normal routine for the next few months but I am seriously excited about the season ahead!

********************52 Weeks********************
52 Weeks is a year long challenge for YOU to be in a picture once a week for 52 weeks. We are always the ones behind the camera, this is YOUR chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with our family. We are glad you are joining this challenge. More importantly your family will really enjoy having you in the picture. Thanks for playing along! Oh, you can just jump in now with 1 of 52, you're not getting off that easy! Now go take a picture!

Great picture! Hockey is really big here also.
My post will be late. Tomorrow is my sons birthday and I don't have any pictures yet but will get some when we are out to dinner with him and his girlfriend.

How fun! It'll be fun to watch your boys learn the sport - I'm sure this is not the last of the hockey pics to graces your blog. ;)

I like how you incorporated the texture into the photo. You're becoming a real guru. ;)

Fun! I can't wait to see pictures of them on the ice. Hockey isn't played around here at all, so you'll have to teach me as we go. lol

My nephew played hockey when he was your boys' age. Since we had no sons back then we used to enjoy going to his games on Saturday mornings. The amount of stuff those kids have to lug around... it's no wonder they get so wild on the ice!

Very cool Carin. I bet they are going to LOVE playing hockey. He looks so cute in his jersey, and we are going to look forward to seeing pictures from their season.

Hockey AND football...you are a brave mom! My dad played hockey forever, but then had 2 girls!! He tried to get me to put the boys into hockey by giving them skates for Christmas one year...but it's football all the time at our house, although we do love our Red Wings!! Great pic of you and your bruiser! Love the edit!

I love watching hockey, but we don't have too many leagues locally since we're in the south. Awesome pic!

I love the texture of this photo. Life is sweetness and rough edges mixed.

Yay for Hockey! That IS exciting. I wanted to play as a girl but Mom said no :( I'd still love to try it some day. Hard to find in TX though!

My brother played hockey (a rare sport here) and as there was such a small team he used to play with the seniors and as he played in goal... that meant being very very confident and rather brave. WE could never watch training but he LOVED it. Hope your boys too...where you have skates and sticks we have ballet shoes and tutus!!

I learned about your blog from Kim at Pair Slices and your photos are awesome. My husband works for Nebraska Public Power District here in Nebraska. He is the supervisor of the Northern area of substation technicians. My husband stays out of town in streaks depending where the project is because his area is so large. I feel for the linemen wives during the winter storm months.

Take care,
Michelle

Wow, that totally surprises me about the hockey team. Sounds like you are going to be "busy mom" for a few months!

Guess who's over in your neck of the woods right now? He got this elk this morning already so now back to the farm for more hunting. Should be there Sunday!

Hugs, Alison

Aw, Carin... I finished the list of blogs, looked and commented, and was done, right? Then remembered I hadn't commented on yours! I kind of wish my kids had played hockey for reals... They played street hockey and we even built our own rink a couple of years when we lived in MI. Great sport. Tough on teeth, but great sport! Good picture of your guy with his brave mother. :)
