His heart is huge. But sometimes that very same heart is hard on him. The other night at supper he just broke down crying because he didn't want to leave his friend Isaac. He has plenty of friends at school but Isaac just has a special place in his heart. As the tears rolled down his face and he buried his head in Lineman's arms I couldn't help but choke back the tears too. I feel so bad that he is hurting right now. It will take time to heal his pain.
And until then, we will be the ones giving hugs at the right moments. Saying the things to brighten him up. Being there for him as he is always there for us.
We love you son.

Oh my gosh..what a sweetie pie!! I'm sure he is such a good friend to all his friends! They will miss him just as much!
Poor guy- friends are a kids world. Thank goodness most kids do make new friend's quickly.
What a sweet post. He is so lucky to have such wonderful parents and you are so lucky to have such a kind and loving son. I hope he's able to get through this without too much hurt and hoping that he'll make some new {great} friends right away!
I am wiping a tear as I write this. I feel what he is feeling. We have moved a lot, and along with the excitement, also comes the reality...those you leave behind. What a special young boy you have...aren't we thankful for traits we can't explain other than to realize they truly do come from Him!
I can understand his feelings, we moved all the time when I was a kid. He is lucky to have good parent who understand his feelings. I hope he makes new friends quickly. Maybe get his friends address and they can write and send pictures to each other.
We are going to miss Bridger very much- he has been a great friend although we didn't do the sleep-over like we have talked about. I am sure that he will make new friends very quick as he is such a likeable boy. I hope you got the pictures that I tried to email you from the program they did. Have a safe trip and keep in touch.

I feel his pain. We moved when our boys were about that age and they were so sad to leave the friends they had made over the years.
My oldest took it the hardest as he had a very special friend of 8 yrs.
He wanted to stay with his grandparents. He made new friends very soon. I am sure your son will do the same. Good luck and Hugs to him and all of you.
God bless
Oh Carin you have such a sweet little boy. Since I'm very emotional today the tears just flowed.
Aw! That's so sad, & hurts a mommy's heart too! Hugs. Moving's hard. Bittersweet!
This made me wipe tears too. I moved in 4th grade and 6th grade. I don't remember it being really hard but I have always wondered about the friends I left behind and what has become of them. I'm sure he'll leave a hole in a lot of hearts around here. Myrna
Your post, made my heart hurt and eyes fill up! We are with ya! In the same tracks and still hanging low through the ach and discomfort. I don't mention it cuz I am so emotional, but one thing that helps our kids is reasureing there H. father has work to be done. If moving is in his plan, then we are going to be so much more usefull. They all like the thought of helping. I think you know the rest..... YOU all need a hug!
Oh my special Bridge....You and Isaac have been so blessed to have each other as buddies. I know there is another special young man in your new town waiting for your friendship. I love you! m-b
Oh, I'm so sad for him. Sometimes it's just plain tough to be a kid.

We can only hope that our soft hearted children grow into thoughtful teens who become loving supporting men. Let's hope they continue to be similiar to one another. :)Tracy
Your son sounds like a special kid. My dad was in the Navy so we moved every two years. It was hard but I certainly met lots of different people. And with my old friends I learned to become a great letter writer...
That is so sweet. what a tenderhearted boy you have there. Moving can be hard for kids, but in no time he will have many new friends & still have a great friend in Isaac. I remember crying when I moved at the age of 12. I feel his pain.
I hope Isaac knows what a great friend he has:)
Carin,
Thanks for making me bawl like a baby! You're right, Bridger has the biggest heart of any kid I know. He has been such a blessing to Isaac. Bridger is so genuine and kind, he'll be deeply missed by Isaac and by every kid in the
2nd grade classroom. You and Russ need to pat yourselves on the back for the great parenting job. We're all sad that you're moving on, but happy that you'll be spending more time together as a family. We love you Bridger!!

This post made me verklempt! (talk amongst yourselves....) Bridger is such a sweet little boy and what a blessing you get to be his mommy!! I hope he adjusts to his new home quickly - something tells me he will do just fine and who wouldn't WANT to be his friend?? I bet he will have lots of them.
