I had been planning to meet a friend and blogger, Darcie, from The Story of Us, face to face for the first time at the beginning of August. Unfortunately things didn’t work out as planned and we weren’t able to meet. I was so bummed I didn’t get to see Darcie, but what a wonderful surprise when she called me and we were able to chat on the phone! Then the sneaky girl asked for my address. Hmmmm, what was she up to?
A few days later there was a package at the post office. Inside I found this…..
Can you believe it? How cute is that! I just couldn’t believe my eyes! For those that haven’t been reading for long, this is how I became Forever in Blue Jeans. So when I saw this I just gasped. I couldn’t believe there was something like this out there. Under “Forever in Blue Jeans” it reads “Love and family is the fabric of life”.
Looking further in the box, under all the peanuts there was more….This cute little box. So cute! I was intrigued.
Aw, this little guy was waiting patiently inside. Isn’t this just so adorable!
With his faithful companion. Playing together much like my boys and their dog would. Could this be any cuter. Could it be any more appropriate. A boy. A dog. Blue Jeans. That says it all.
Thank you so much, Darcie. I will treasure this so much. It’s a reminder of so many things for me. For growing friendships and fleeting youth. To treasure each one and to never take them for granted. Thank you!

AWWWW! How sweet! That is so cute. Darcie is a wonderfully sweet friend. I hope you get to meet someday.
Dearest Carin,
You make it SO easy...this is one of those times I felt(as a giver) as much excitment as you the reciever may have felt in getting it. I never knew these "Forever in Blue Jeans" existed either, amazing what you will find in a gift shop in SD. I have enjoyed getting to know you via blogging...you have a beautiful family my dear. Someday we will meet...that I am sure of.
PS...for your mom...thanks for stopping by with a comment. I have noticed through Carin's blog the connection you two share. Truly special.
I'm amazed at the friendships I've created just thru blogs. Soon I realize we share more than friendship, but the bond is so precious. Wouldn't it be great to get a 'blog' reunion? I'd love to met you, Darcie and the other 'great' bloggers out there!
How sweet!. Hopefully you'll be able to get together soon.
Is Darcie not the best!!! Sorry y'all didn't meet up, but what a neat surprise.
How sweet! What a great gift idea for a blogging friend! :)
That is AMAZING! What a sweet, sweet AMAZING gift! I hope the two of you get the chance to meet soon.

Awesome find, Darcie. I never have that kind of luck, but I find that I don't look for those sorts of things, either. What a neat gift to treasure and a reminder of a visit yet to be enjoyed.
HMMM... Miss Darcie has been busy! How sweet is that? what a thoughtful gift. I didn't realize that Forever In Blue Jeans was a product name, I thought it was your own genius...you know boys not bows.
I saw a movie with my sweetie last night that had so much to do about blogging...I couldn't help but think through most of it how the world of blogland has tied so many hearts together. You should check out my Tuesday post but make sure you read Hope and Jen T. comments and then pop over to Hope's post from Tuesday. Your jaw will drop, mine did!
As you are similar to me I can bet that little fellow will be sitting on your windowsill reminding you that your little boys will quickly become men. you do a great job of enjoying the time you have with them...yes, you are a fun mom who puts me to shame...
Thanks for the huckleberry info. I guessed blueberry somewhere in there. Do people grow huckleberries or is it like are blackberries...they grow where they grow and you eat them?
Kat
How neat! I have never seen this cute brand either! But then I don't go into gift shops in SD very often. I think we stopped at WALL DRUG the last time we traveled through SD. What a hoot!
