Stalactites

Have you ever had the chance to go in a cave and see the stalactites and stalagmites?February 071

I’ve been thinking about out cave visits in the Black Hills where I learned all about the stalactites that slowly form down from the ceiling.  They can be so unique and interesting they way they form.

It’s dark in those caves, Lineman had to wear his prescription sunglasses in one of those caves and it just didn’t work out so well.   I guess when your forehead meets a low ceiling you couldn’t see because of your sunglasses one can get pretty upset.  But I digress.  Aren’t these stalactites impressive and unique!

Each with their own characteristics.

Ummm, I don’t remember the ceiling being green, or the perfect arch either.  Hmmm.

Oh, it’s my moms truck all covered in stalactites, er, I mean ice.  Hey, it was fun while it lasted.

Thats funny stuff!! I saw a truck in Billings that looked just like that and wondered if they had come in from the north--guess that answers my question!!!!!!!!!

Carin you funny lady! I take it that is isn't getting above freezing over there. Soon...it will just be stalactite mud. ;-)

You had me too. I was thinking what a cool cave. My car would be looking like that if I wasn't such a wimp about driving in the snow ;)

Carin,
I loved the blog post so much. I actually took some pictures of my car and cracked windshield just to remember. It is just reality where we live...we will never have a shiny new car! Ever. :)
You had me going for awhile too.
