I got a new camera!

I am just so excited! 

On a recent trip to Billings I had the chance to do a little shopping.

I was actually in search of something else.

But when I saw that camera…

And held it in my hands…

There wasn’t even a second thought…

I just knew I had to have it!!!

This was another day of fishing again! I love to see this man with my boys. My heart goes crazy and there's a smile on my face.

Leaning

We pass this delightful old barn every Sunday. What a sight to see. She is leaning pretty hard and I wonder how many years she has left until she is standing no longer.

Thinking spring....

I think this last one looks like a lady holding her arms across her chest, holding a baby perhaps. I should probably stop taking these pictures. I feel like I'm at a psychiatrists office, looking at the ink blobs and telling her what I see. I have done that on nearly 80% of these smoke shots I take. I always see something in them. Heeeeeelllllllppppp, I need counseling. Or a few hours out of the house. Bwaaaa haaaa haaaaaa.

This was a fun shoot I did with some friends in the area. Gramma had made these completely adorable pajamas for the girls, talk about talent.

Trampoline Shots

These next pictures are from last week.... Obviously, since we are now in sub zero temperatures and we just got more than 10 inches of snow. This is me doing the feet to back jump. Lineman's cousin taught me this when I was 19. I was young and fearless.... and didn't have aches and pains. Actually, I still don't have aches and pains. Something about carrying around 29 pounds on one hip while doing chores has made me immune to all aches and pains. However, if my sweet neighbor is reading this.... can I come soak in your hot tub? No reason. No reason at all. Nope, my back doesn't hurt. Nor does my neck. Really.

This is my sons friend. Not that anyone for even a remote second would think it was me. I don't think I was ever this skinny, not even at that age. Besides that, I could NEVER stretch. Seriously, I can't even touch my toes with straight legs. It's sad. I know. Moving on.

The sun was just gorgeous that evening.

What better time to try and "hold the sun".

Thoughts of Spring.....

The other day I stopped in to our Botanical gardens to take a look around. The boys had fun exploring and I took in the greenery, flowers, warm temps and wonderful smells. Here are a few pics I took while I was there. These are all SOOC (straight out of camera). Things are busy so no time to edit, as my son learned in Kindergarten: "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit". I hope you enjoy a little peek into spring.

The Way of Love

I'll appologize in advance to any readers who may have already seen these on my other blogs.

I am really enjoying photographing still life. It's pretty relaxing and I don't have to chase kids around with an amazingly fast shutter speed. I was working on shadows and I love the way the rings create their own heart shaped shadow. Do you have a favorite?

My Little Sweetie

Boy did I hear it from Lineman about not getting a post done yesterday. Is it just me or is anyone else just a tad busy right now?

I have so many favorites from this session, however, this one ranks as one of my top favorites. Her daughters expression behind her skirt and the beauty of her own pregnancy just takes my breath away.

Soothing Sunday Pictures

Sorry, but there will not be a Sunday Sunsets post today. The sunsets seem to have faded with the cooler weather approaching. So instead today I will just show you some pictures I took a few days ago of some soothing waterfalls. I think I could just sit by these all day and just listen to the sound. Enjoy the pictures.

Baby C

These pictures were taken for wonderful friends of ours. This baby is their fourth child. They are such wonderful, loving parents and their children are all so fantastic. Unfortunately we don't live very close to each other but when we do get together we always have fun and the kids hate to leave. Thanks for letting me take your baby's pictures.

Saturday Fall Drive

Saturday the boys and I went for a drive up to Vedauwoo. We went the back way from our place which means we never pass any type of gas station. Oh, and I should mention I only had a quarter of a tank of gas. I threw in an extra gas can in the event that I should need it.

We took off in search of some great fall foliage and a photo shoot location. There were some beautiful colors and it was just what I needed to drive around in such a relaxing place.

We found a nice little place where the aspens had turned yellow, there were a few large boulders and several large rocks. We did a mini photoshoot and then the boys explored for a bit. Then I put half of the gas can in so I wouldn't have to worry the whole way home.

The boys just had so much fun, we will probably head back again when weather permits so the boys can go hiking up there again.

I have really enjoyed playing with Photoshop lately. Of course with three boys in the house and my little man needing lots of attention, the only time I really get to work on these are late at night. Seeing as how I am a night owl anyway, this seems to be working for me - that is except for the getting up part in the morning. I am tired but what can you do? Um, these are my boys right? Okay, just checking, I'm so short on sleep I just wanted to double check these are my punks. Yup, I recognize the orneryness oozing from the pictures. Check. They're mine.
