You are such an incredible boy! So loving, caring, outgoing, full of smiles, quick to help a friend, ready to help mom or dad or brothers, eager to learn and just an awesome boy. Happy Birthday Bridger!

I am laundry

I sold the old washer and dryer March 21st. The new washer and dryer arrived April 3rd. Whew, that is a long time to go without doing laundry. Let me tell you that never once did any child of mine wear an item of clothing twice. No sireee, they never wore a pair of Wranglers more than one time. Nope. Never. Didn't happen.

So why did we get a new washer and dryer. Well, our well is 800 feet deep for #1. And #2, we get about a gallon of water every two days. Okay maybe a little more, actually we get about 3 gallons a minute. Most of you out there are probably getting around 20-25 gallons a minute. These babies only use 14 gallons of water compared to the 50 plus gallons of the top load machines. Whew, more water for my trees. And more water for my hot_showers !
And another thing.......this is ENTERTAINMENT!
I actually spent a good portion of my day yesterday doing just this, it was just that no one took my picture. Hey, what can I say, I am easily entertained.
Now if you will please excuse me, I must go do laundry.

What a morning

Wow, what a morning. The first people to arrive at our house were the concrete specialists.

Today was day two for them being here to get the forms ready to pour concrete for our garage. They continued were they left off from yesterday. Then a knock at the door, "hey, can you come look at this?" Hmm, that's never good is it? I went out there to find that after they had trenched and set out the line that they elevation changed 2 feet from one corner to the opposite corner. "Do you have some fill dirt we can use" he says. "Oh sure, no problem, let me just grab some out of my sons' jeans". Oh, they needed a bit more than that. Thankfully I have an awesome neighbor that does have a fill dirt pile left over from when she built. She said we could use some so she wouldn't have to look at that pile anymore. There were other things too, but let's not get into that!

The second people to show up was the delivery truck guys..... for my new washer and dryer! Woo-Hoo! I have been without a washer and dryer for two weeks but that's another post. That's right, bring 'er in boys! Right this way! Oooo, watch out for that open hole!

And during all of this a huge snow squall blew in. I'm thinking no, no, no, not now!
I was so thankful to have a little helper for Bode while I was busy with getting the washer and dryer in. The third person to show up was the physical therapist for my little crooked head, Bode. I did not get a picture of that but I have a picture of Bode in laundry. Let's play Where's Waldo. We did some exercises with the little man and I learned what I need to be working on with him so he is no longer the Leaning Tower of Pisa (scroll down to the 3rd picture of that post to see this little crooked head).

It sure was crazy here for a little bit. I think I got a look into my lineman's day the way it was so hectic and having to make decisions and put out fires. But wait, I wouldn't want to compliment him or something like that, so I'll just say the whole morning was a piece of cake.... whatever.

Hang on tight, it's going to be a wild ride

It’s going to be a busy, hectic, eventful, frenzied, exciting day! I will share it all later. For now I had better get ready and catch my breath while there is still a chance.

The bomb: Beef Tamales

I have been so inspired lately by those that are posting their recipes and pictures of their wonderful, delicious meals on their blogs. Of course there is the Pioneer Woman , her stuff is awesome and she has such easy to follow recipes and pictures to match step by step. I know there are a lot out there doing such things, so here is my first food blog.

These are awesome beef tamales. The main recipe will be at the bottom of the post.

First, prepare your beef and corn mixtures. Place the corn mixture in a husk and fill with the beef mixture. Wrap tightly in the husk.

Place tamales in a steamer basket and steam for 20-25 minutes.

Carefully remove as they tend to want ot fall apart.

Enjoy your tamales!

Okay, okay, okay....

I was waiting till the evening... but yes, a lot of you had me figured out!

For those of you that didn't have me figured out....

That means you fell for it.... Hook, Line & Sinker!

The last post was an April Fools Joke!

I am NOT pregnant!

News of the day

Well, looks like I will be needing advice from those who have kids close in age! We went in yesterday to have an ultrasound. After the small scare we had with the little man (kidney problem) doc thought we should have an early look at this one. He was also a bit worried because of back to back pregnancies and c-sections. Right now he said all looks good. We'll also get another ultrasound in 8 weeks. Baby is due Novemer 3rd. Again, we won't find out the sex of the baby but I would guess another boy.... of course!
