We bought an old snowmobile off tradio a few weeks ago for next to nothing. Our oldest son calls it “old fashioned”. Well, perhaps it is but I don’t think he’ll be complaining about it any time soon. Have a look at our sledding hill. It’s got to be all of 500 feet long with a few twists and turns. By far the best sledding hill we’ve ever had!
The kids fly down to the bottom and wait more than patiently for Lineman to show up. Then Lineman loads up the kids on the biggest sled that’s tied on to the back of the snowmobile. Then he hauls them up the hill. He’s got 4 kids with him there, Little Man in the front, the older two and a friend laying down on a sled. Seriously, does it get any better or easier than that!
No sooner does he unhook the kids and they are heading back down the hill…..
That old gal may be “old fashioned” but she sure gets the job done!
I think the kids have just as much fun coming up the hill as they do going down.
“Hey kids, you’re on your own for this one, we’re going home!”
That looks like a lot of fun and an easier ride back up than walking! Winter activities are so good - make them all tired!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...you guys are so fun!
ReplyDeleteohhh...that looks like so much fun! Can we come play?
ReplyDeleteNow that is sledding in style. Has your little guy fallen asleep on the ride up? ;)
ReplyDeleteah, this brings back memories. except that we would hook the sled behind the snowmobile and one of us kids would drive the snowmobile while the others rode in the sled.
ReplyDeleteNo room for complaining ;) even these lil B.'s say Aw'some' check it out how they get back to the top! Wade talks of machines too...
ReplyDeleteThat is just awesome and looks like so much fun! What great parent you are!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like too much fun!!! I'm jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun I'm sure. Back when I was a kid we had to walk uphill both ways. lol I want to come visit and go sledding!
ReplyDeleteI ditto Ms. Diva! I love snow mobiling! That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteIf that's old fashioned, then call me Grandma Walton.
ReplyDeleteOh, what my city boys would give for a place like that to ram around. Looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThere is something about those old fashion "gals". It's like an older house...so much more personality.
ReplyDeleteLooked like a blast!
oh how fun that looks. The sledding and the "old gal"...Looks like your bunch is 100% better..glad to see that ; )
ReplyDeleteoh.. that looks like SO much fun! do you have room for us? :)
ReplyDeleteThat sure does bring back memories.
ReplyDeleteWe used to do that when the boys were younger. We had 2 snowmobiles so I had one and hubby had one.
We truly enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing and I hope that all are feeling better now.
Here I was thinking we
ReplyDeletewould see the boys in the
Winter Olympics 2022 or 2026 either playing hockey or speed skating...but...now I'm thinking
it will be luge or bobsled!!
They aren't complaining anymore, are they? That's awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteMan!! that sure is a whole lot of fun!!! Fun to keep the old machinery going too--Love the price tags on them!!
ReplyDeleteLineman

ReplyDeleteThat machine reminds me of the time we were at Otter Creek in the winter and we went up into 22 - if I recall - I dumped you! ~linda
