This is my grandfather, whom we call "Abuelo". I left our home Monday to come to my mom's because he was coming for a visit. Can you believe he is 88 years old! He even picked up my oldest son at the airport. By the way, my son weighs a whopping 75 pounds. Abuelo didn't realize he had picked up his great-grandson until we told him later that night. He said he was just so excited. I guess so!Sorry for the lack of posts, it's hard to keep up during traveling.
Ahhh! I wondered where you were lately :) Glad to know your spending time with family. Great picture of Great Grandpa and boys!

ReplyDeleteThe only memory I have of my grandfather is just before he died, I was a little of 2, my siblings and I were sitting on his lap in my father's favorite chair. Piled all over him just like your boys in this shot. Enjoy the time! What does his name mean? It sounds Indian?
What a great memory you have made for your sons.
ReplyDeleteHe sure does not look 88.
Love all the smiles in the photo.
thanks for sharing.
How nice of you to comment on Carin's blog. I so appreciate your comments on my photo with my great grandsons. I have have two more great grandsons to visit who live in Wisconsin. I hope I have an enjoyable time with them as I have had here. "Abuello" means "Grandfather" in Spanish.

ahhh...Abuelo is such a handsome "young" man. ;) Aren't grandparents the best! Does he really have some Spanish blood in him, or do y'all call him Abuelo just because?
ReplyDeleteDavid's g'parents are Abuelo y Abuela (they're Cuban) so I'm just curious.
